4 Years In a Row GMC Claims KBB 'Brand Image Award'

For over 90 years Kelley Blue Book has been producing vehicle evaluation information that consumers trust. One evaluation, in particular, is KBB.com's Brand Image Award. Winners of the Brand Image Award are based on consumer automotive perception data from Kelley Blue Book Strategic Insights’ Brand Watch™ study. Winners of the award score high on important factors that matter to new car shoppers, and have a positive perception among consumers.

Over the past four years, GMC has dominated KBB's Brand Image Award. GMC has won the 2017 Brand Image Award; making it the fourth consecutive year for GMC to claim the prestigious award.

KBB.com's executive editorial director, Jack Nerad, had the following to say about GMC's achievement, "GMC’s ‘Professional Grade’ ideology has struck a resonant chord with consumers, and that’s reflected in car buyers visiting Kelley Blue Book’s website, KBB.com, naming GMC 2017’s Most Refined Brand. The extra attention to design and detail found across GMC’s lineup has clearly resonated with American consumers."

Receiving the Most Refined Brand award for a fourth consecutive year reflects GMC’s commitment to our core brand pillars. Consumers appreciate GMC’s ability to deliver bold, capable and precisely crafted vehicles that fit their lifestyle. Tulsans, in particular, are flocking to GMC trucks; such as the GMC Canyon and GMC Sierra. These trucks sets the bar high with purposeful technology inside and out.

Kelley Blue Book, in years past, has also acknowledged GMC's Denali sub-brand as the highest expression of premium vehicles, for continuing to elevate the brand’s overall perception among consumers.

GMC's sister company, Buick, has recently released a premium sub-brand of their own called the Avenir. The Avenir sub-brand will represent the highest expression of Buick luxury; just like Denali has demonstrated with GMC. You can read more about the Avenir sub-brand here

First Look at the Avenir Sub-Brand, with 2018 Buick Enclave Avenir

We finally get a look at the new Avenir luxury sub-brand from Buick, with the release of the all-new 2018 Buick Enclave Buick Avenir. Buick announced the Avenir sub-brand last fall, after the release of the award-winning concept car; of which Avenir draws its name. Avenir stands for future, and from the looks at the new Enclave Avenir, the future looks bright for Buick; Evonik Acrylite bright!

Debuting with the 2018 Buick Enclave, the new Avenir sub-brand represents the highest expression of Buick luxury. Avenir offers unique styling cues and an extensive set of standard features and premium materials throughout the vehicle. New and versatile functionality, interior spaciousness, and intuitive technologies build on the Enclave’s established popularity.

Aside from the unique dark-tented, 3D mesh grille, pearl-nickel 20" wheels, and a more athletic appearance one of the most notable features on the Buick Avenir model - that will gradually transfer over to a full range of Avenir models - is the SUV's Evonik Acrylite head lamps. The Evonik Acrylite exterior lighting is a Buick-first and will illuminate the road ahead with the power of more than 100 LEDs.

Why has Buick chosen the Enclave SUV to launch the new Avenir sub-brand? Buick says the Enclave embodies the essence of the brand. It’s a beacon for the modern, attainable luxury Buick stands for and is a natural place to launch Avenir.

"Buick-first" is a term that you'll hear a lot in the near future. Not only is the new Avenir sub-brand something totally new from Buick, since early last year Buick has introduced seven new models: including the recently released Regal hatchback and Regal Wagon

By the fourth quarter of this year, Buick will have the freshest, most modern line-up of vehicles in the industry, with every model being less than 21 months old! Along with this fresh line-up of beautiful vehicles, Buick has maintained its tradition of excellence, and racked up a long list of highly desired awards and accolades; including Kelley Blue Book's most luxury brand award!

Enclave Avenir highlights:
  • Available intelligent AWD with active twin-clutch rear differential and Buick-first switchable AWD help improve control and efficiency.
  • Standard five-link rear suspension and available continuously variable real-time damping (CDC) offer a refined, isolated ride.
  • A standard 3.6L V-6 engine with stop/start technology, Buick-estimated 302 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
  • Tow capacity of up to 5,000 pounds is more than enough to tow a typical 21-foot sport boat.
  • Buick-first Evonik Acrylite lighting technology provides a distinctive light signature.
  • Buick-first Rear Camera Mirror is standard on Avenir. Avenir-exclusive 3-dimensional mesh grille, badging, pearl nickel 20-inch aluminum wheels and luxurious interior materials are standard.
  • Standard hands-free power-programmable liftgate with a Buick tri-shield logo illuminates the ground below the hidden sensor and power-folding third row.
  • It accommodates seven passengers comfortably and offers more cargo volume behind the first row than the Acura MDX, Audi Q7 and Infiniti QX60.
  • It has an all-new body structure for safety, strength and mass efficiency, plus 17 radar, camera and ultrasonic sensors when fully equipped.
  • Avenir model comes standard with extensive active safety, connectivity and luxury features for a simple and convenient buying experience.

Meet the all-new 2018 GMC Terrain!

The GMC Terrain we know and love debuted in 2009, and has gone relatively unchanged since then--until now. Ladies and gentlemen, meet the all-new 2018 GMC Terrain! It's lighter and leaner, and sports a new range of fuel-efficient turbocharged engines -- including a diesel option. Yes, you read that correct, a diesel Terrain!

We'll get the big news out of the way. The 2018 Terrain is an all-new compact SUV. Simply put, "all-new" means the Terrain has been completely redesigned! GMC has elevated the Terrain's design to a major art form - from attention grabbing to unforgettable in every detail. The new design, with a "floating-roof look," creates the perfect integration of beauty and purpose. It shatters the status quo, and will no doubt be a popular choice for our Tulsa-area shoppers.

The new 2018 Terrain's shape was refined within GMC's high-tech wind tunnel. Which means every curve and angle on compact SUV was carefully sculpted to optimize fuel-efficiency with the least amount of drag. These changes, coupled with the new fuel-efficient turbocharged engines, will do wonders for gas mileage.

The all-new 2018 Terrain will offer three 4-cylinder turbocharged engines - a 1.5L gas, 2.0L gas, and 1.6L Turbo Diesel - all of which generate both power and efficiency. Transferring this performance to the road is a new 9-speed automatic transmission for the gas engines and a new 6-speed automatic transmission for the Turbo Diesel. We're eager to see how our Oklahoma drivers respond to the new engine options!

To meet the varied demands of your life, the 2018 Terrain can go from comfortably accommodating passengers to quickly and easily storing cargo. Whether you live the country life or city life, the redesigned 2018 GMC Terrain will bring a new joy to your drive.

Ferguson Buick GMC is expecting the new 2018 Terrain to arrive on at our Broken Arrow dealership in late summer 2017. To learn more about our lineup of new GMC models, contact us and we'll happily set you up with a test drive.

2017 Buick Envision - the New SUV Safety Leader!

In the last decade Buick's engineers have put a special emphasis on safety. In fact, in the last two consecutive model years, every Buick model has earned five-star overall vehicle score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). And now, the 2017 Buick Envision has earned a spot among the rest of them.

The 2017 Buick Envision has earned a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score for Safety rating by NHTSA.

From the beginning, Buick designed the Envision with safety, quality and craftsmanship in mind. The Buick Envision is a nimble SUV with its smart size and ingenious technologies. It utilizes a combination of five cameras and 13 radar and ultrasonic sensors around the vehicle to help offer owners peace of mind behind the wheel.

The 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score for Safety rating by NHTSA is not the only safety accolade the 2017 Envision has earned. Earlier this year, the 2017 Buick Envision, with optional front crash prevention and high intensity discharge (HID) headlights, was named a 2017 Top Safety Pick+ by Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

Earning top ratings from some of the industry’s most important safety organizations confirms that the 2017 Buick Envision was crafted to an exceptional degree of refinement. The top safety rating also further builds the Buick brand’s reputation as a leader in quality and safety.

Buick's newest compact SUV, the Buick Envision, arrived at our Broken Arrow dealership early this summer; since then, we've helped drivers from cities all across Oklahoma discover the luxuries the new Envision has to offer. There's Ferguson Buick Envisions driving around Tulsa, Bixby and Norman. We've even sold the Buick Envision to people outside Oklahoma; places like Abilene and Temple, Texas. There's even a Buick Envision, with a Ferguson sticker, driving around the streets of New Orleans!

GMC Yukon Denali - Birthday Surprise

It's not every day we see our customer's cry with joy; however, it's always a gratifying feeling to experience someone so elated with joy that they shed a tear or two. Ferguson Buick GMC's Mike Huff went the extra mile for a recent customer, and had the pleasure of experiencing a truly unforgettable moment.

It all started when Douglas came in and bought a brand-new 2016 GMC Yukon Denali for his wife. Mike Huff asked Douglas how he planned on presenting the new Yukon to his wife. Together, they hatched a plan to surprise the Mrs. While she celebrated by opening presents in the backyard, Mike Huff was driving from Broken Arrow to Bristow, Oklahoma in her surprise birthday gift. Once at the house, Douglas walked is unsuspecting wife out the front door, greeted by a shining new Yukon with a red bow on top!

Watch her reaction below...

Mike Huff says he loves going the extra mile to make an over the top experience for his customers. His customers appreciate that fact. Many return to Mike Huff at Ferguson Buick GMC. Find out why Mike Huff should be your car guy.

Saving the Buick Encore with Jack P. Jewell

Jack Jewell is a big guy, with a big heart. He's a former Tulsa University football star, measuring in at 6' 7" tall. After graduating from the University of Tulsa, Jack started his career at Ferguson Buick GMC. Around here, we call him our "Gentle Giant." He's always smiling and carrying a positive attitude. He treats everyone with respect and works hard to take care of his customers.

With the passion of a caring sales professional, Jack recently started a movement with a simply message - to free the Encore. Too many Buick Encore's have to endure life confined to a stationary lot. The Encore was not designed to sit motionless; it was designed to explore the open road.

As Jack states, "without an owner to care for, a driveway to sit upon, an open road to spread it's wings, it [the Buick Encore] will slowly waste away on our lot."

To help spread awareness about this issue, Jack launched the #SaveAnEncore campaign, and put together a short video to help get the word out.

There is hope for the Buick Encore, and you can provide that hope. For only $185 [and approved credit] you can be the one to make a difference in the life of an Encore. Learn more: http://tinyurl.com/saveanencore

2017 Buick Encore | Coming Later This Fall

In the past, we've demonstrated the comfortability of the smaller sized Buick Encore. While the Buick Encore is technically labeled as a small crossover, Ferguson Buick GMC's Jack Jewell, who is 6' 6" tall, shows us, in the video below, how Buick's engineers managed to keep the compact size of the Buick Encore, while still being able to comfortably fit adult sized passengers.

The Buick Encore remains the top choice for customers seeking premium features and dependability coupled with timeless design. Buick hopes to build upon the rapid success of the Encore, with the soon-to-be released, 2017 Buick Encore.

The newest Encore strengthens the appeal of America's most popular small SUV with more refined styling and new connectivity technology - including available Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. The new 2017 Buick Encore is highlighted by a new premium interior and new front-end appearance. It will be offered in five trim levels: Encore Premium, Encore Leather, Encore Convenience, Encore Sport Touring, and Encore base.

EPA estimates on the 2017 Buick Encore will be announced at a later date. Ferguson Buick GMC is expecting to bring the 2017 Buick Encore to the Tulsa-Metro later this fall.

2017 GMC Acadia | New Size, Bigger Advantages

For nearly 10 years Tulsa area families have flock to the GMC Acadia for its styling, functionality, flexible, and its reputation as a true family hauler. Thanks to the Acadia's accommodating space, the SUV allows parents to make those trips to Reasor's, Target, or their local grocery store and easily bring the kids along for the ride. The redesigned 2017 GMC Acadia is sure to continue its legacy of delivering big advantages and balance to customers’ everyday lives.

GMC's engineers shaved 700 pounds off the new redesigned 2017 GMC Acadia, giving the SUV greater maneuverability and a greater responsiveness behind the wheel. With the a small size, softened corners and a sleeker windshield angle the new Acadia looks less like its truck-inspired grandparents and more like your family-friendly SUV.

GMC's Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Duncan Aldred, had the following to say about the 2017 Acadia, “The all-new Acadia leverages GMC’s proven SUV experience to take on and shake up one of the largest vehicle segments, with a strong blend of design, technology and capability.”

The reduction in weight also benefits our Tulsa area families at the pump. Weighing 700 pounds lighter pays dividends. GMC estimates the all-new 2017 GMC Acadia to have 28 highway mpg and 22 city mpg. We all know Tulsa traffic can be little stop-and-go and times, the new Acadia utilizes GMC's first application of Stop/Start technology, which also enhances the SUV's fuel efficiency in the city.

Ferguson Buick GMC is the perfect place to test-drive the new 2017 GMC Acadia - that is when we're able to introduce the SUV to the Tulsa market. Ferguson Buick GMC is America's fastest growing dealership, and has an extensive line-up of new and used GMC trucks and SUVs; including a large inventory of GMC Acadias.

Just hear what one of our previous Acadia customers had to say about their experience at Ferguson Buick GMC; Billy from Tulsa wrote, "I Just wanted to say a big thank you to salesman Charles Anderson. My family has been using this dealership for years all because of this man...I took my Dad up get himself a new Acadia, and once again Charles came through for us."

The new 2017 GMC Acadia goes on sale this spring. Check us out on Facebook to learn when we're able to bring the new Acadia to our Broken Arrow dealership

Buick Enclave VS Infiniti QX60

2016 Buick Enclave vs 2015 Infiniti QX60

Infiniti has only been around for a little over 25 years. Buick, on the other hand, is General Motor's oldest brand, and America's oldest active automaker. With over 115 years under its belt, Buick has more knowledge and expertise than the much younger Infiniti. As Mike Huff states in the video, that equates to "more research, more [advanced] technology, and a better quality vehicle overall."

Even with its age and maturity, Buick continues to attract new customers, and for good reason. Buick models offer more luxurious interiors and thoughtful personal technologies, along with responsive-yet-efficient performance over competing sedans and SUVs. Our new Buick customers get all the above advantages all wrapped in a more bold, uniquely sculpted exterior design.

One of the first observations Mike points out is the amount of safety features the Buick Enclave has over the Infiniti QX60. In the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's frontal crash test, the 2015 Infiniti QX60 scored a 4-star, while the 2016 Buick Enclave scored a 5-star.

http://www.fergusonbuickgmc.com/2016_Buick_Enclave
2016 Buick Enclave

Another advantage the Buick Enclave has over the Infiniti QX60, that Mike points out, is technology. With the Enclave you get both brains and beauty. Mike walks you through some of the innovative technologies the award-winning Enclave offers: seat memory, heated steering wheel, industry first front center air bag, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, and available OnStar 4G LTE with built-in Wi-Fi hotspot.

Available OnStar 4G LTE with built-in Wi-Fi hotspot provides additional connectivity, and transforms the Buick Enclave into a mobile hub. OnStar 4G LTE can connect up to seven devices through a simple, seamless high-speed connection. 4G LTE is the most current and fastest mobile data network – 10 times faster than 3G and 100 times faster than the previous generation of OnStar hardware.

Mike also mentions the Buick Enclave's list of awards and accolades, which include: Kelley Blue Book's 5-Year Cost To Own Award, Kelley Blue Book's 2015 Brand Image Award, and a 5-star NHTSA Overall Vehicle Score Safety Rating.

Winner in the technology segment, winner in the safety category, and winner in overall design; it's easy to see why the Buick Enclave takes the cake over Infiniti's QX60. As Mike Huff states, "It's got everything the Infiniti QX60 has and then some!" Simply put, the Enclave is the better choice for luxury, SUV shoppers.

2016 GMC Terrain | Coming soon to Ferguson Buick GMC

Oklahoma, precision matters when purchasing a new vehicle. Precision means making certain that the details of every detail (no matter how small) shout premium in the most refined way.

Compact SUVs are a great choice for anyone considering purchasing a new vehicle and for anyone who cares about having plenty of space while not getting terrible gas mileage. For more than half a decade there's been one compact SUV that stands tall among the crowd - the GMC Terrain.

The GMC Terrain is the perfect combination of styling, utility and efficiency. It's also GMC's second-best selling vehicle in their professional grade line-up of trucks and SUVs. While the success of the GMC Terrain has been impressive, GMC is one automaker that embraces that notion of never standing still, and their engineers are always looking to push the meaning of bold design even further. With that said, we'd like to introduce the newest GMC Terrain compact SUV. Ferguson Buick GMC cannot wait to offer the new 2016 GMC Terrain to our Tulsa and Broken Arrow customers!

Updated 2015 GMC Yukon Denali and Yukon XL Denali

The all-new 2015 Yukon and the entire Yukon lineup, including the Yukon, Yukon XL and the Yukon Denali, is one of the industry’s most popular full-size SUV lineups. GMC's flagship SUV, the Yukon, was engineered from the ground up for model year 2015. The new Yukon saw a bundle of new innovative and purposeful technology features along with exceptional refinement and greater performance.

New and enhanced product highlights across the 2015 Yukon lineup include:
  • Multiple USB ports, an SD slot and accessory power outlets – including a 110-volt three-prong outlet –  to support electronic devices of all kinds
  • Eight-inch-diagonal customizable driver display with three available user themes and available head-up display (Denali models)
  • Standard eight-inch-diagonal color touch screen radio with enhanced IntelliLink and available navigation
  • Fold-flat second- and third-row seats that enhance cargo capability and convenience – including an available power-folding feature
  • Conversation mirror in the overhead console that provides a panoramic view of the rear seats
  • Available Blu-ray/DVD rear-seat entertainment system with dual screens on Yukon XL
  • Available power rear liftgate with multiple programmable height settings
  • Available hands-free liftgate operation (standard on Denali)
  • Available wireless phone charging (standard on Denali)
  • Easier entry/exit
  • All-new cargo management system
  • Available keyless entry and push-button start.

The 2015 GMC Yukon offers greater performance, new fold-flat rear seats and a quieter interior. They’re also better-connected, with next-generation IntelliLink. These state-of-the-art features have resonated with our GMC customers. New 2015 Yukon buyers have come to Ferguson Buick GMC from all across Oklahoma and Green Country including Okmulgee, Owasso, Sand Springs, Tulsa, Broken Arrow, and Oklahoma City.  All falling in love with the new Yukon and discovering the Ferguson Advantage.

It's hard to image GMC packing any more innovative technologies and performance engineering onto the 2015 Yukon.....but pack more they did indeed. Nearly half way through the first year of production GMC updated the 2015 Yukon and 2015 Yukon Denali. GMC has called the new updated 2015 Yukons, the 2015 interim GMC Yukon.

One updated enhancement you'll find on the new interim Yukon include a new Hydra-Matic 8L90 eight-speed automatic transmission, designed to be more fuel-efficient. The new transmission is fitted to the new Yukon Denali and Yukon XL Denali interim models. EPA highway mileage estimates for two-wheel drive Yukon Denali and Yukon XL Denali models increase to 22 mpg with the eight-speed automatic, while the EPA city mileage estimate for the four-wheel drive Yukon Denali model rises to 15 mpg.

Compared to the Yukon Denali’s previous six-speed transmission, the new 8L90 transmission offers smaller steps between gears, allowing the engine to efficiently leverage its peak power bands. The wider gearing spread also allows the use of a lower 3.23:1 rear axle ratio, which reduces engine speeds and fuel consumption, especially during highway cruising.

Comfort and capability are not compromised for fuel economy. Not only is the 8L90 transmission capable of handling more torque than the six-speed transmission it replaces, but its shift controls and solenoids are more responsive and provide quicker shift times. A new torque converter also delivers smoother performance at low speeds, especially when carrying heavy loads or pulling trailers. Tow ratings – up to 8,400 pounds for the Yukon Denali and 8,100 pounds for the Yukon XL Denali – are unaffected by the addition of the eight-speed transmission.

Performance enhancements are not the only upgrades you'll find on the new 2015 interim Yukons, there's also some really cool innovative technology features GMC snuck onto the SUV. The 2015 interim GMC Yukon features a wireless charging surface for WPC (Qi) or PMA (Powermat) compatible mobile devices integrated into the design of the center console lid. Simply rest your smartphone on the powermat located in the middle of the center console, and your phone will automatically begin to charge. You'll never have to go through the hassles of a wired phone charger ever again!

The distinctive interim Denali models deliver an exclusive package of design, performance and upscale interior amenities.

Find the 2015 Yukon and 2015 Yukon Denali at our Broken Arrow Buick & GMC dealership. We're conveniently located right outside Tulsa, OK on the Broken Arrow Expressway, across from the Bass Pro Shop.
