Saving the Buick Encore with Jack P. Jewell

Jack Jewell is a big guy, with a big heart. He's a former Tulsa University football star, measuring in at 6' 7" tall. After graduating from the University of Tulsa, Jack started his career at Ferguson Buick GMC. Around here, we call him our "Gentle Giant." He's always smiling and carrying a positive attitude. He treats everyone with respect and works hard to take care of his customers.

With the passion of a caring sales professional, Jack recently started a movement with a simply message - to free the Encore. Too many Buick Encore's have to endure life confined to a stationary lot. The Encore was not designed to sit motionless; it was designed to explore the open road.

As Jack states, "without an owner to care for, a driveway to sit upon, an open road to spread it's wings, it [the Buick Encore] will slowly waste away on our lot."

To help spread awareness about this issue, Jack launched the #SaveAnEncore campaign, and put together a short video to help get the word out.

There is hope for the Buick Encore, and you can provide that hope. For only $185 [and approved credit] you can be the one to make a difference in the life of an Encore. Learn more: http://tinyurl.com/saveanencore

2017 Buick Encore | Coming Later This Fall

In the past, we've demonstrated the comfortability of the smaller sized Buick Encore. While the Buick Encore is technically labeled as a small crossover, Ferguson Buick GMC's Jack Jewell, who is 6' 6" tall, shows us, in the video below, how Buick's engineers managed to keep the compact size of the Buick Encore, while still being able to comfortably fit adult sized passengers.

The Buick Encore remains the top choice for customers seeking premium features and dependability coupled with timeless design. Buick hopes to build upon the rapid success of the Encore, with the soon-to-be released, 2017 Buick Encore.

The newest Encore strengthens the appeal of America's most popular small SUV with more refined styling and new connectivity technology - including available Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. The new 2017 Buick Encore is highlighted by a new premium interior and new front-end appearance. It will be offered in five trim levels: Encore Premium, Encore Leather, Encore Convenience, Encore Sport Touring, and Encore base.

EPA estimates on the 2017 Buick Encore will be announced at a later date. Ferguson Buick GMC is expecting to bring the 2017 Buick Encore to the Tulsa-Metro later this fall.

Triple Times the Crown - Buick Continues Climb to Top

Not to toot our own horns or anything, but we're pretty proud of the fact that we're Tulsa's Buick headquarters. While Ferguson Buick GMC is Broken Arrow's #1 customer voted dealer, Buick continues to attract new customers with its lineup of award-winning luxury sedans and crossovers. One of the reasons we're so proud to carry the Buick brand, is because the new Buick vehicles found on our lot continue to rack up nationally recognized awards and accolades.

Buick recently earned top honors from three distinct automotive expert sources:
1.) Buick took top honors as one of the most dependable brands in the 2015 Vehicle Dependability Study by J.D. Power, 2.) Buick was recognized as a Top Pick in Consumer Reports' 10 Top Picks of 2015, and 3.) For the second consecutive year, three Buick models were among the winners in Kelley Blue Book’s 2015 5-Year Cost to Own awards.

Buick outperformed many luxury automakers in the J.D. Power 2015 Vehicle Dependability Study. The 2015 study tracks 2012 model year vehicles in the third year of ownership. Buick was 34 percent more reliable than industry average. The Buick LaCrosse and Buick Enclave shined in the study. Buick LaCrosse was recognized as J.D. Power’s segment leader in the Large Car segment. And the Buick Enclave was ranked second in the Midsize SUV segment.

Quit possibly even more impressive then taking home J.D. Power's award for dependability, Buick became the first domestic automaker to take home a top 10 spot on Consumer Reports magazine’s annual auto brand report! According to Consumer Report, to be a top pick "Each model must rank at or near the top of its class in our overall road-test score." Their auto experts evaluate performance, interior quality, reliability and safety. Buick’s spunky midsize car, the Regal, shined through in this report. The Buick Regal was crowned a 2015 Top Pick in the sports sedan segment.

And to top it all off, Buick proves the quality found on their cars is second to none, as three Buick models took home Kelley Blue Book's 2015 5-Year Cost to Own award for the second consecutive years. KBB.com’s 5-Year Cost to Own information is developed using Kelley Blue Book® Residual Values to calculate depreciation costs. The winners of this prestigious award goes to the Buick Verano, Buick Enclave, and the Buick Encore.

There you have it! We've got a clear champion in the luxury automotive world; and the winner's Buick! Buick's triple crown achievement is a testament to the fact that Buick is the leadier in reliability, quality and performance.

Don't believe us? Take a thorough test-drive in one of our Buick award-winning models. We have all these champion vehicles right here at our Broken Arrow dealership; revved and ready to go! We have the whole new Buick lineup: the Regal, Verano, Enclave, Encore, and LaCrosse.

2013 Buick Encore received five stars from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)

The all-wheel-drive 2013 Buick Encore received the maximum 5 star overall safety rating from the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA). The all-wheel-drive model joins the Verano, Regal, LaCrosse, and Enclave as having a five-star overall rating from the NHTSA. All-wheel drive is an optional safety feature for the Encore. This safety feature translated into one extra star on the NHTSA's safety rating. The front-drive Buick Encore received a four-star overall rating.

Buick says the 2013 Encore was designed for young professionals and empty-nesters in mind. It's a one-of-a-kind premium subcompact crossover. It has a lavish interior, built with soft-touch material and wood accent trims, terrific fuel economy, and has plenty of storage and cargo room for its tiny subcompact size.

The front-wheel drive 2013 Encore gets 25 mpg city and 33 mpg highway, while the all-wheel-drive 2013 Encore get 23 mpg city and 30 mpg highway.

The Encore's tiny size sets it apart. Most crossover competitors are bigger by a couple of inches; however, this does not mean that passengers are cramped. While the overall size of the Encore is smaller than most other subcompact crossovers in the market, the 2013 Encore does not lack interior space and cargo room. The Encore's front passenger seat and back seats fold flat. When all the seats are folded flat, the Encore has 48.4 cubic feet of cargo room.

Buick also made the 2013 Encore the first Buick ever employed with Bose's active noise-cancellation technology. One unique way Buick was able to give the Encore tremendous audio and noise-cancellation technology, was by placing a sub-woofer inside the spare tire found on the rear hatch of the vehicle.

The unique shape of the sub-woofer makes it hard for some people to realize exactly what it is. Not many people recognize it is a key piece in the Encore's noise-cancellation technology. There have been reports of people throwing it out when changing a tire. So, if you ever need to replace a tire in your new Buick Encore, and you take the spare out of the hatch, do not through away the sub-woofer lying in the center of the tire.

The 2013 Buick Encore has the following Package options:
  • Convenience Package - adds electrochromic inside rearview mirror, remote start, dual automatic climate control, 120V outlet and fog lamps.
  • Leather Package - adds leather upholstery, heated steering wheel, power passenger seat, heated seats, driver memory settings for seats, outside mirrors, and climate control.
  • Premium Package - adds rain-sensing wipers, premium Bose audio, front and rear park assist, forward-collision alert, lane-departure warning, cargo net and cargo mat.

The 2013 Buick Encore also qualifies as an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick. The Encore joins the rest of the Buick lineup as an IIHS Top Safety Pick.

You can find the 2013 Buick Encore at Ferguson Buick GMC for as low as $24,950 at http://www.fergusonbuickgmc.com/VehicleSearchResults?make=Buick&model=Encore
