The launch of the newly updated models demonstrates Buicks determination to attract a younger demographic. Buick sold close to 57,000 LaCrosse Sedans last year. The 2014 Buick LaCrosse will be on sale later this summer and the 2014 Buick Regal will go on sale in the fall.

With the goal of attracting a younger demographic, Buick updated the outer look of the LaCrosse and added a new interior. The headlights and grille on the new LaCrosse are among the exterior updates. The grille will be more prominent and the headlights will have wing-shaped LED lighting. The new interior is featured with a new center console with a standard eight-inch, color touch-screen, and updated leather with Tamo Ash trim seats that are designed to add more comfort to for the driver and passengers. Buick's vise president of marketing said, "We evolved the interior and exterior design, increased luxury amenities and materials, and enhanced the safety and personal technologies to give customers more reasons than ever to rediscover Buick."

Like the new LaCrosse, 2014 Regal will also have a newly styled exterior and interior. Not all the new features will be the same for the Regal, Regal Turbo, and Regal GS models, however. LED lighting will be featured in the taillights and the signature wing-shaped headlights. The interior also gets a new sleeker redesign with a new trim job and less buttons on the center console for more ease-of-use. as well, and new 4.2-inch color display (on the Regal and Regal Turbo). But out of all the changes, a crucial update to the up coming Regal models is all-wheel drive capability. The Regal Turbo and Regal GS will both have all-wheel drive, which is something customers of the Regal have been asking for.

Both the 2014 LaCrosse and 2014 Regal will be equipped with next generation of its IntelliLink system. The next-generation IntelliLink will be more user friendly, with better voice recognition, more customization capabilities, and a five-button top menu.
