The 2013 Sierra 1500 represents the core of GMC’s trucks. The all-new 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 full-size pickup is the most powerful, most advanced and most refined truck in the brand’s 110-year history.

The New 2014 GMC Sierra is redesigned with a new exterior and interior look, along with three new engines under the hood – a V-6 and two V-8s. Sierra’s all-new EcoTec3 engines are paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and are based on 50+ years of proven small-block performance. GM says the 305 lb-ft (413 Nm) of torque developed by the new engine is the highest of any standard V6 in the segment. The new engine develops 285 horsepower. From innovative cargo-box features and a stronger foundation, to striking new styling featuring details that make it truly stand apart, the 2014 Sierra is clearly a respected leader in the truck market.

Three great technologies make each of those engines more powerful and more efficient than ever:

1. Direct Injection - Allows for greater fuel efficiency

2. Variable Valve Timing - Controls camshaft timing & improves torque and horsepower

3. Active Fuel Management - Shuts down cylinders in engine when performance is not required – Increases fuel efficiency
